Matcha lattes were a life-saver! I do love a morning coffee, but when I’m off coffee it's a great substitute. I also really like to have it in the afternoon for a little lift.
Matcha powder is a high-quality powdered green tea that is best stored away from light and oxygen in order to preserve its antioxidant content and beautiful green color.
This dairy -free matcha latte contains healthy fats from the coconut milk and oil, as well as a touch of sweetness from the raw local honey, which balances the bitter properties of the matcha nicely.
As a warning, there are many matcha brands out there that aren’t pure matcha and have other ingredients and added sugar. My brand of choice is DoMatcha .
Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon high-quality matcha powder
1/2 cup light coconut milk
1/2 cup hot water
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon raw local honey
Directions:
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until mixed well. Pour and enjoy!
